Eastland County, TX — August 31, 2025, a Gorman teenager was injured as the result of a car accident at around 3:45 a.m. along FM 2563.
Initial statements about the accident say that it happened near the intersection of FM 2563 and County Road 323 between Eastland and Carbon.
According to officials, a 17-year-old girl was in a Toyota Camry going westbound along the roadway. The vehicle reportedly lost control and left the roadway. There, it overturned.
Due to the crash, the teenage driver of the vehicle was seriously injured. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Additional details are unavailable.

I always have concerns when it comes to accidents involving teenage drivers. Sometimes, authorities care more about blaming the victim than actually looking at the facts and giving an unbiased account of what happened.
This is one of the reasons I always emphasize the importance of following up with authorities early and often. If it seems they’re able to address all concerns and questions thoroughly, it’s a good sign they’re taking investigations seriously. But if it instead seems like they’ve already made up their minds, telling the victim’s side of the story fairly might require more thorough independent investigations.
