Heather Schramm, 4 Injured in Car Accident on U.S. 77 in Victoria County, TX
Victoria County, TX — March 9, 2024, Heather Schramm and four other people were injured in a car accident shortly before 7:30 p.m. along U.S. 77.
According to authorities, a 33-year-old man was traveling in a southbound Pontiac Firebird along U.S. Highway 77 in the vicinity southwest of the Old Goliad Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Firebird failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left of center and entered the northbound lane of the roadway. An oncoming Toyota Tacoma pickup truck swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid a collision; however, the front-left of the Firebird still made contact with the back left of the Tacoma. This caused the pickup truck to overturn, rolling an unknown number of times before coming to a stop in a roadside ditch.
The Firebird continued its southward trajectory in the northbound lane, next crashing head-on with a Chevrolet Travers SUV occupied by a 32-year-old man, 31-year-old Heather Schramm, and a 1-year-old girl.
Both Shramm and the man from the SUV incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck, as did the man from the Firebird. A 53-year-old man from the pickup truck sustained apparently moderate injuries, while a 58-year-old woman from the same vehicle was minorly injured. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
