Man Killed, One Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Edgewater Drive in Orange County, FL
Orange County, FL — September 17, 2023, a man was killed, and a person was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Edgewater Drive near Hambleton Avenue in Orange County, FL.
Authorities say that on September 17, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle struck a pedestrian in Orange County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 3:43 in the morning. Investigators say a Ford suddenly left the roadway and crashed into a pole, a building, a parked vehicle, and a pedestrian. The cause of the crash has not been released, and few details are available at this time.
Officials confirmed that the pedestrian, a 19-year-old whose name has not been released, was killed in the crash. A person inside the building was reportedly hit by debris during the crash and sustained minor injuries. No further information is available.
Police say the Ford driver allegedly left the accident scene and was arrested. Authorities are still investigating. No other injuries were reported.
