Woman Injured in Hit-and-run Accident on Bandera Road in San Antonio, TX
San Antonio, TX — April 22, 2023, a woman sustained injuries due to an apparent hit-and-run accident at 8:30 p.m. along Bandera Road.
Officials with the San Antonio Police Department said that the incident occurred in the 2200 block of Bandera Road, in the area of the Evers Road split.

Initial details about the crash indicate that a 38-year-old woman was walking along Bandera at the time. It appears that she may have been trying to get away from a pack of aggressive dogs at the time, leading to her entering the roadway. There, a vehicle struck the woman. That vehicle then left the scene, police say.
Details indicate the woman had injuries which required surgery at a local hospital. No other injuries occurred. No further information about the dogs was provided, and its unclear whether or not they were strays. Authorities continue to look for the driver of the unknown vehicle that left the scene.
