Owego, NY — October 22, 2024, Ian Mockler, 19, was killed in an 18 wheeler accident on Route 17 in Owego around 1:15 A.M.
An investigation into an accident involving an 18-wheeler that claimed the life of a 19 year old Pennsylvania man is currently ongoing by authorities. According to official reports, Mockler was driving westbound on Route 17 West when the vehicle struck an 18-wheeler that was parked on the shoulder.
Mockler was declared deceased by first responders upon their arrival, and the scene was assessed by the state police, NYDOT, and Apalachin Fire Department.
