Jack Wayne Phillips Injured in Truck Accident in Kimble County, TX
Kimble County, TX — April 10, 2023, Jack Wayne Phillips was injured in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 3:19 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 290 in Kimble County.
Officials report the victim's GMC Sierra was northbound on Route 479 passing through the intersection with U.S. Hwy. 290 when it collided with an eastbound semi-truck. The semi-truck nose reportedly struck the GMC Sierra driver-side door and forced the Sierra to spin clockwise. The Sierra came to a stop facing westbound on the southern side of U.S. Hwy. 290 and the semi-truck purportedly came to a stop in an embankment also on the southern side of the highway.
Mr. Phillips was taken to a hospital with reportedly serious injuries while the semi-truck driver was reportedly uninjured.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
