Jacob Carl Rhodes Injured in Alleged DWI Accident in La Marque, TX
La Marque, TX — April 2, 2023, Jacob Rhodes was injured due to an accident allegedly involving an intoxicated driver around 12:51 a.m. on Highway 3.
Investigators gave initial details about the crash, which they say happened at the intersection of Highway 3 and Cedar Drive.

Their findings suggest that 21-year-old Jacob Rhodes was the driver of a Nissan Altima. The Nissan was said to be going eastbound along Cedar Drive at the time. At the Highway 3 intersection, it appears that a southbound Porsche may have gone through a red light. This resulted in the Porsche t-boning the Nissan.
As a result of the collision, Rhodes sustained injuries described as incapacitating. The other driver did not have any noted injuries, according to authorities. Right now, officials believe that the Porsche driver had been drinking, and they recommended a potential charge for Intoxication Assault w/ Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
