Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I always have concerns following crashes involving non-typical vehicles like UTVs and ATVs. To be rather blunt, authorities aren't always reliable when looking into potential vehicle defects—something I talk about a lot on this blog. They can be uncommon, subtle, and easy to overlook without the right tools and training. That's true enough with common car accidents, which only raises more concerns when a less common type of crash like this happens. I certainly have no inside information about how these investigations are being handled, but it's important that families know all possible factors, likely or not, are being investigated.
