Jarrod Bayless Killed, Michelle Bayless Injured in Car Accident in Charlotte, NC
Charlotte, NC — September 17, 2023, Jarrod Bayless was killed, and Michelle Bayless was injured in a car accident at West W.T. Harris Boulevard and David Cox Road in Charlotte, NC.
Authorities indicate that on September 17, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Charlotte for unknown reasons. Police say a Ford F-150 rear-ended a Nissan making a left turn onto David Cox Road from West W.T. Harris Boulevard. Sources say the Ford pickup rolled over, forcing both vehicles off the road.
A preliminary investigation suggests that speed and reckless driving may have been factors in the crash, but this has not been confirmed. Authorities are still investigating the events that led to the crash.
Officials confirmed the Ford pickup driver, Jarrod Bayless, 27, suffered fatal injuries. Ford passenger Michelle Bayless sustained severe injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The Nissan driver was also injured in the crash.
Authorities stated that the Nissan driver was allegedly impaired by alcohol while driving, but this has not been confirmed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
No other injuries were reported.
