Jasmine Watkins Killed in Car Accident in Dallas County, AR
Dallas County, AR — April 27, 2023, Jasmine Watkins was killed following a single-vehicle accident that happened at around 8:20 a.m. along Highway 48.
Authorities with the Arkansas State Police said they were called to the Carthage area for the single vehicle wreck along Highway 48.

According to their preliminary crash summary, 28-year-old Jasmine Watkins was reportedly the driver of a 2020 Toyota which was going eastbound along the highway. While doing so, the vehicle somehow left its lane of travel. This caused the vehicle to drift over the center line into oncoming lanes. The vehicle then went off-road where it crashed through a ditch, struck a tree, then overturned.
Watkins was reportedly killed as a result of the single-vehicle crash, police say. Authorities did not include anyone else in the reports, suggesting Watkins was the only person directly involved. At this time, there is no stated cause for the crash. Officials continue their investigations into what might have gone wrong.
