Jason Williams Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Woodville, TX
Tyler County, TX — September 29, 2023, Jason Williams was killed in an apparent hit-and-run accident at around 8:00 p.m. along U.S. Highway 69.
Preliminary information about the crash indicates that it happened just south of Woodville near County Road 1040.

According to DPS officials, 41-year-old Jason Williams appeared to be a pedestrian along the highway when a vehicle struck him. That vehicle then allegedly left Williams at the scene, and EMS found Williams deceased at the scene.
Authorities say they have since located and charged the alleged runaway driver. Right now, no further information can be confirmed pending investigations.
