Jesus McKay Injured in Truck Accident in Glasgow, KY
Barren County, KY — May 4, 2023, Jesus McKay was critically injured as the result of a semi-truck accident Thursday afternoon along Veterans Outer Loop.
Officials with the Glasgow Police Department were called to the area of the Veterans Outer Loop and Cumberland Parkway.

According to initial details released by authorities, Jesus McKay was on a motorcycle that appeared to be going northbound along Veterans Outer Loop. At Cumberland Parkway, there was a semi-truck traveling southbound. Details at this time say that the semi-truck attempted to make a left turn onto the parkway, and the truck collided with McKay's motorcycle.
McKay was thrown from the bike and sustained injuries believed to be critical. McKay had to be flown to Vanderbilt Hospital, reports say. No one else was reportedly injured. Authorities did not mention any citations or charges in their initial statements, though most recent images of the intersection show there is no stop sign or traffic light for north and southbound traffic on the loop. The exact cause of the crash remains unconfirmed.
