Jonathan Francis Conrey Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Collin County, TX
Collin County, TX — March 11, 2024, Jonathan Francis Conrey was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 6:50 p.m. along Business 78.
Authorities in the Copeville area said the crash happened off the corner of TX-78 Business and Harmony Circle.

It appears 32-year-old Jonathan Francis Conrey was on a Yamaha motorcycle going along northbound Business 78. Approaching the railroad crossing, the motorcycle reportedly ran off-road. The bike went through the ditch, hit the railroad embankment, then crashed. Conrey was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries.
Right now, the cause of the crash remains unconfirmed.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Hopefully people let the evidence speak for itself here rather than make any hasty assumptions. It's not that I distrust any specific investigators here. It's simply that folks tend to unfairly assume all motorcyclists are reckless regardless of how safe they actually are. As a result, riders can end up accused of causing an accident when in reality they fell victim to factors beyond their control. I can't say if that happened here, but I see no reason why this man's death should warrant any less benefit of the doubt than a victim in a typical car would get. I just hope authorities here share that notion and get the victim's loved ones the answers they deserve.
