Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I have to wonder what made authorities think there were issues with this vehicle and what steps they took to inspect them. In my experience, authorities don't often have the tools or training needed to properly analyze a vehicle for defects. That's why a lot of departments do the same thing I do, which is make sure independent specialists are able to look at things. If the department in charge of these investigations never did that, it's possible they may have missed something important.
