Jorge Martinez Loera Killed in Work Accident in Georgetown, TX
Georgetown, TX — November 30, 2021, Jorge Martinez Loera was fatally injured after being trapped under a mobile home while working.
Preliminary details released by investigators with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration say that the incident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of FM 1105, north of FM 972. This appears to be near Zion Lutheran High School.

It appears that the incident occurred as 43-year-old Jorge Martinez Loera was working underneath a double-wide mobile home. Somhow, it appears a support jack slipped, causing the home to fall on top of Loera. This ultimately resulted in fatal injuries.
Currently, the investigation summary from OSHA is listed as "Open." The company listed in the reports as being looked into is Paredes, Inc. They listed 10 possible violations being investigated, and penalties could total up to $18,600. These details and others surrounding the incident remain under investigation at this time.
