Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Needless to say, a crash like this needs close attention to ensure the victims and families get clear answers as soon as possible. However, I always caution people against just assuming police will take those steps on their own. There are many skilled, dedicated officers here in the metroplex that can absolutely handle a crash like this.
Unfortunately, though, their departments don't always give them the time or resources they need to do their jobs properly. As a result, something important could slip through the cracks. Hopefully the department handling this incident keeps the victims and families in mind and takes the necessary steps to get them the answers they deserve.
