Jose Gonzalez Killed in Work Accident in Cedar Park, TX
Cedar Park, TX — October 24, 2022, Jose Gonzalez was fatally injured as the result of a work fall accident that occurred at the Walton Way Wal-Mart.
Preliminary information about the accident provided in a summary from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said that the accident took place at 201 Walton Way, which appears to be the Wal-Mart Supercenter off the corner of North Bell Boulevard and West Whitestone Boulevard.

Right now, details about the fatal incident remain limited. OSHA reports currently only say that 56-year-old Jose Gonzalez was working at the time when he somehow fell to the ground below. As a result, he succumbed to fatal injuries due to the workplace accident. It's unclear at this time what may have caused the fall or whether or not any co-workers were involved in any way.
The OSHA summary lists five alleged rule violations, three of which were classified as "Serious." The reports also show a recommended total fine of $42,412. The status of those potential fines as well as additional details from investigators are unclear pending further investigations.
