Joseph M. Moretti Killed in Car Accident on County Road 378 near Tyler, TX
Tyler, TX — September 12, 2023, Joseph M. Moretti was killed in a car collision on County Road 378 in Smith County, near Tyler, TX.
Authorities indicate that on September 12, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Smith County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened around 3:58 in the afternoon.
Investigators say a Honda Accord heading east along County Road 378 collided with a westbound GMC Yukon. A preliminary investigation suggests the Honda may have left too little road space for the GMC, but this has yet to be confirmed. Police are still investigating the events that led to the collision.
Officials confirmed the Honda driver, Joseph M. Moretti, 22, suffered fatal injuries. The GMC driver reportedly escaped the crash with no injuries. No further information is available.
