Juan Dedios Portillo Killed in Bicycle Accident on Aldine Westfield in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — February 23, 2023, Juan Dedios Portillo was killed due to an accident between a cyclist and a pickup after 7:30 p.m. on Aldine Westfield.
Investigators released information surrounding the fatal collision. They say it happened at approximately 7:38 p.m. near the intersection of Aldine Westfield Road and Parker Road.

Details indicate that 38-year-old Juan Dedios Portillo was on a bicycle going along Aldine Westfield at the time. Portillo somehow fell over in a lane of travel and was run over a pickup hauling a trailer. Due to this, Portillo sustained ultimately fatal injuries. No one else was reportedly injured.
Details about the pickup driver were not made clear by authorities in their initial statements. No potential charges or citations have been brought up by police.
