Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Single-vehicle accidents can be uniquely challenging depending on whether authorities prioritize the accident reconstructions. Officers aren't always given the time or tools they need to do a thorough investigation, and single-vehicle wrecks in particular tend to be brushed aside before all the facts have been considered. Maybe authorities here will be able to show they've looked into things from potential vehicle defects to road hazards to poor signage or lighting to alcohol. But if they haven't taken steps to preserve evidence and consider even unlikely possible factors, there could be more to this story that will require further independent investigations to bring to light.
