Wise County, TX — August 22, 2024, 37-year-old Juan Perez Elias was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident on State Highway 114 in Wise County.
Authorities say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on SH 114 near Park Road 4248. Preliminary investigation suggests Juan Perez Elias was driving a Chevrolet Silverado east on the highway when he approached stopped traffic ahead, allegedly at too high a speed to stop. He then swerved off the road to the right and passed through the bar ditch, then hit a drainage culvert. The Chevy vaulted a short distance, then hit a tree and rolled onto its roof.
Juan Perez Elias was seriously injured in the accident.
