Juan Villalobos, Benigna Villalobos Injured in Alleged Drunk Driving Accident in Ector County, TX
Ector County, TX — March 2, 2023, Juan Villalobos and Benigna Villalobos were injured by an alleged drunk driver around 9:12 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 385 in Ector County.
According to officials, Juan Villalobos's and Benigna Villalobos's Nissan Frontier was northbound on U.S. Hwy. 385 when it was struck by an allegedly drunk driver in a Cadillac CTS. The collision reportedly sent the Frontier into a rollover crash, where it was hit a second time by the Cadillac CTS. The second impact forced the Frontier and the Cadillac CTS into rotation.
Juan Villalobos and Benigna Villalobos were both transported to a medical center with purportedly serious injuries. The driver of the Cadillac CTS was also transported for possible injuries.
Police recommended charging the Cadillac CTS driver with Intoxicated Assault with Serious Bodily Injury.
The toxicology results for the Cadillac CTS driver are still pending, and the crash is still under investigation.
