Commentary by Michael Grossman
With motorcycle accidents, my main concern is always if the investigations are being handled fairly. To be rather blunt, a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists, and this can lead them to jump ton conclusions instead of waiting for all the facts. Even authorities sometimes do this, and that leads to inaccurate or incomplete investigations.
It's possible more thorough independent investigations here would only confirm authorities were able to set aside their bias and focus on the facts. However, it wouldn't be unusual if getting the full story for those affected by this crash required another set of eyes looking things over.
