Kentrail Robertson, 2 Injured in Single-car Accident on Buckner Blvd. in Dallas, TX
Dallas, TX — February 1, 2025, Kentrail Robertson and two others were injured in a single-car accident at about 11:15 p.m. on Buckner Boulevard (S.L. 12).
According to authorities, three people—a 22-year-old woman, 39-year-old Kentrail Roberson, and an infant—were traveling in a northbound Ford Edge on Buckner Boulevard in the vicinity of the Stonehurst Street intersection when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Ford failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, entering the center median where it apparently overturned.
Robertson and the other woman each reportedly sustained serious injuries due to the wreck. The baby also suffered minor injuries, according to reports. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.

When I see reports like this, my main concern is whether Kentrail Robertson, the other injured individuals, and their loved ones will get the answers they need about what happened. A single-vehicle rollover crash might seem straightforward, but experience has shown me that these incidents often involve more than meets the eye. That’s why it’s critical to examine three key questions when looking into any serious accident.
The first question is whether authorities have conducted a thorough investigation. Law enforcement will likely document the scene, but certain important details can sometimes be overlooked. Were there roadway hazards, such as debris, poor lighting, or uneven pavement, that may have contributed? Did another vehicle play a role, even if it wasn’t directly involved? Did officers have enough time and resources to fully reconstruct the crash? Ensuring these questions are answered is crucial to understanding what really happened.
The second question to consider is whether anyone has looked into the possibility of a vehicle defect. Rollovers can be influenced by external factors, but they can also be caused or worsened by mechanical failures such as tire blowouts, steering malfunctions, or suspension issues. If the Ford Edge experienced a defect that caused the vehicle to lose control, that could be a key factor in the crash. Unfortunately, vehicle defects are often overlooked unless someone specifically pushes for that possibility to be explored. A forensic examination of the vehicle could help determine whether a defect played a role.
Finally, it’s important to determine whether all relevant electronic data has been collected. The Ford’s engine control module may have recorded valuable information about speed, braking, and steering inputs leading up to the crash. Additionally, surveillance footage from nearby businesses or traffic cameras may offer visual evidence of what happened. Even cellphone data could be relevant if distraction or another factor played a role. The sooner this evidence is secured, the more useful it will be in clarifying the circumstances surrounding the accident.
At the end of the day, answering these questions could be essential to understanding what really happened and why. A thorough examination of all three of these issues—including the quality of police investigations, possible vehicle defects, and electronic data—is the least that can be done to ensure that those affected by the crash receive the clarity they deserve.
