Commentary by Michael Grossman
People often see reports of a driver running a light and figure everything from there is open-and-shut. However, even if authorities file citations or charges, that may not be enough to truly see full accountability. That often requires jumping through additional legal hoops which authorities don't typically gear their investigations toward. As such, preliminary details like these rarely tell the full story, and it's often up to more thorough independent accident reconstructions to get families the evidence they need for a proper resolution. Did that ever happen here?
