Lady Wood, 1 Injured on U.S. 281 in Comal County, TX
Comal County, TX — March 22, 2024, Lady Wood and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 5:45 p.m. along U.S. Highway 281.
According to authorities, 52-year-old Lady Wood was traveling in a northbound BMW along U.S. 281 in the vicinity of the Carriage House intersection when the accident took place.

The BMW was reportedly at a stop behind a Chevy Silverado due to traffic conditions. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound GMC Acadia SUV occupied by a 66-year-old woman failed to come to a stop for the halted traffic. This resulted in a rear-end collision with the BMW. The collision caused the BMW to be pushed forward into the back of the Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
Wood incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the crash; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. The woman from the Acadia suffered suspected moderate injuries, as well, though she apparently declined EMS transport.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
