Wise County, TX -- November 4, 2022, Larry Landress, Rosemary Landress, Angel Flores, and Jordan Maple were injured due to a truck accident.

Investigators reported that the crash took place at around 10:45 a.m. along FM 51 at FM 455. It appears that 70-year-old Larry Landress and 68-year-old Rosemary Landress were in a Ford F-150 traveling along southbound FM 51. From oncoming lanes, a northbound box truck reportedly failed to yield, crashing into the Landresses' pickup.

Due to the crash, Both Larry Landress and Rosemary Landress were taken to an area hospital. From the box truck, Jordan Maple and Angel Flores were also hurt. At this time, additional details about the crash are unavailable.

With a crash like this, it may be easy for people to jump to conclusions. Authorities claim that the box truck here failed to yield. I have no reason at all to doubt that. But the reason it's important to look for evidence that can speak for itself is because even statements from police are rarely enough to get people the help they need on their own. When there's a company on the other side doing everything in their power to avoid responsibility, victims and families need a lot more that a news report on their side--no matter how damning that report may be.

I've been handling commercial vehicle wrecks for 30 years now, and I learned a long time ago that preparing as soon as possible for the worst possible scenarios is a prudent step forward. Whether it's an insurance company or the company that owns the truck, their sole priority is to avoid responsibility. There are many ways they can do this.

More reputable companies may simply refuse to cooperate unless compelled to do so through court orders.
