Philadelphia, MS — December 2, 2024, Lauren Stewart was killed and another person was injured following a truck accident at approximately 6:15 a.m. on S.H. 15.
According to authorities, 20-year-old Lauren Stewart was traveling in a motor vehicle in the vicinity of the State Highway 15 and Road 383 intersection when the accident took place.
Details surrounding the accident remain scarce. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision took place between the motor vehicle and an 18-wheeler. Stewart suffered fatal injuries over the course of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene. The person who had been behind the wheel of the 18-wheeler sustained reportedly serious injuries, as well; they were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
