Lemuel Dwayne Harris Killed, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Lancaster, TX
Lancaster, TX — January 15, 2023, Lemuel Dwayne Harris was killed and another was injured after a truck accident at around midnight on Dallas Avenue.
Preliminary details released by authorities indicate that the incident happened at approximately 12:01 a.m. at the intersection of Dallas Avenue and West Wintergreen Road. Conditions were said to be dry, and it was dark out at the time.

Authorities said they believe the crash occurred as 57-year-old Lemuel Harris was in a Jeep Wrangler going northbound along Dallas Avenue. At the Wintergreen intersection, the Jeep made a left turn from northbound lanes to westbound Wintergreen. A southbound Mack truck crossing the intersection crashed into the side of the Jeep as it made the turn.
Due to the collision, Harris sustained ultimately fatal injuries. Details suggest that the truck driver, currently unidentified, may have had non-incapacitating injuries following the crash.
