One Injured in Log Truck Accident on Highway 74 in Robeson County, NC
Robeson County, NC — October 27, 2023, one person was injured as the result of a log truck accident at around 7:00 a.m. on Highway 74.
According to officials, the incident took place in the Orrum area on eastbound lanes of Highway 74.

Investigators said in their statements that a tractor-trailer carrying logs was going along the highway when another tractor-trailer with logs made a u-turn onto eastbound lanes. Authorities claim that truck failed to yield, following which the first tractor-trailer ran off-road. Somehow during this process, the initial log truck crashed with a Chevy truck pulling a trailer.
Due to the collision, the driver of the log truck that ran off-road sustained injuries which required air transportation to a hospital. There were no other confirmed injuries following the crash. Right now, it's unclear if there are any pending charges or citations.
