Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
From authorities, some statements said it's possible that De Jesus lost control while attempting to avoid another vehicle traveling in the oncoming lane attempting to pass another vehicle. No details about that potential vehicle were given, so it's unclear if authorities were able to confirm if that's what happened here. But it definitely raises some red flags, as motorcyclists are often harmed when drivers in other vehicles cut them off or enter their path without paying attention. Could this be another such situation?
