Maegan Breaux Killed in Truck Accident on I-12 in Livingston Parish, LA
Livingston Parish, LA — April 7, 2023, Maegan Breaux was killed in a collision with multiple tractor-trailers around 2 a.m. on I-12 in Livingston Parish.
According to officials, the victim's eastbound car somehow exited the roadway toward the driver's side, collided with the center median cable barrier, and was disabled in a lane of traffic.
Ms. Breaux had purportedly exited her vehicle after this accident when an eastbound 18-wheeler allegedly struck her and her vehicle. A second 18-wheeler, traveling behind the first, was reportedly unable to perform a successful evasive maneuver and collided with the 1st semi-truck. This potentially forced the first semi-truck to push the victim's car further into the barrier.
Ms. Breaux suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two truck drivers were reportedly uninjured.
Reports indicate authorities have not determined the cause of the crash.
