First, was the crash thoroughly investigated by authorities? A single-vehicle crash, especially one involving a motorcycle, is often attributed to operator error without much scrutiny. While this might occasionally be true, it’s critical to rule out other potential factors. Did the roadway present hazards like uneven pavement or debris? Were the conditions at the time—lighting, signage, or weather—contributing factors? Authorities must carefully document the scene and analyze whether external factors played a role.
