Maria Cardona Injured in Single Vehicle Accident in Comal County, TX
Comal County, TX — April 17, 2023, Maria Cardona was injured as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 2:30 a.m. along I-35.
Investigators said that they were called to the area of Interstate 35 and West Watson Lane. It appears that the events involved a Toyota Scion XA which details suggest was driven by 26-year-old Maria Cardona.

It appears that the Toyota was traveling southbound along the interstate and took an exit toward the service road. While exiting, the vehicle somehow lost control, causing it to careen off-road. There, Cardona's vehicle then flipped over through a ditch.
Cardona was found with what details suggest were likely incapacitating injuries. Authorities did not say that anyone else was in the Toyota or that any other vehicles were involved in the crash. At this time, information from officials is not enough to confirm the exact cause of the crash. No further information can be reported right now.
