An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person seriously injured during the afternoon hours of September 20th. According to official reports, Maria Gonzalez was driving her vehicle eastbound on River Oaks Blvd when a Lexus pulled out in front of her to make a turn.
The impact caused Gonzalez to lose consciousness and caused severe damage to both vehicles. Upon arrival by first responders they found that Gonzalez had sustained serious injuries, and was transported to the hospital for treatment. At this time there has been no update on the status of the injuries, or if any charges or citations will be issued, however the accident remains under investigation.
