Amelia County, VA — January 21, 2025, Marilyn Semtner was killed and Paul Semtner was injured in a truck accident at about 6:10 a.m. on U.S. Route 360/Patrick Henry Highway.
Authorities said a 2018 Honda CR-V was headed east on Patrick Henry Highway when it was struck by a semi-truck that pulled into its lane.
Honda passenger Marilyn A. Semtner, 77, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to authorities.
Her husband, Paul J. Semtner, 78, was driving at the time of the crash, authorities said. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said criminal charges are expected against the 27-year-old man who was driving the semi-truck.
The crash is still under investigation.
