San Antonio, TX — September 25, 2025, Mario Arreaga Jr. and one other were injured following a car accident around 2:45 a.m. on Zarzamora Street.
Preliminary statements from authorities say that the accident happened at the intersection of North Zarzamora Street and West Poplar Street.
According to officials, 42-year-old Mario Arreaga Jr. was in a Nissan Rogue going southbound on Zarzamora. A 33-year-old woman was in a Honda Accord going eastbound on Poplar. At the intersection, the vehicles crossed paths and collided.
Due to the accident, Mario Arreaga reportedly was seriously injured. The Honda driver had non-incapacitating injuries. Additional details can’t be confirmed.

A lot of people think car accidents are simple just because they’re common. In reality, they can all involve unique and complex factors, including challenges related to whether or not authorities actually properly investigated the crash.
It can surprise folks when authorities barely scratch the surface and fail to thoroughly investigate details surrounding an accident, leaving doubts and unanswered questions. But sometimes, it takes input from independent investigators to give everyone a fair chance to tell their side of the story. It remains to be seen if those steps were ever taken here.
