Jefferson County, NE — November 19, 2022, 23-year-old Marshal Holtzclaw died in a collision with a dump truck on State Highway 4 in Jefferson County.

Authorities say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Highway 4 near Highway 15. Preliminary investigation suggests Holtzclaw was driving a passenger vehicle west on the highway as a dump truck was eastbound on the other side. According to reports the two vehicles collided head-on in the roadway under unknown circumstances.

Holtzclaw was pronounced dead at the scene. The dump truck driver was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
