Matthew Walker, Trent Walker, Tracy Walker, Lauren Swertfager Injured in Alleged Drunk Driving Accident on Garland Rd. in Dallas, TX
Dallas, TX — March 4, 2023, Matthew Walker, Trent Walker, Tracy Walker, & Lauren Swertfager were injured in an alleged drunk driving accident around 8:28 p.m. on Garland Rd. in Dallas.
Authorities report Matthew Walker, Trent Walker, Tracy Walker, & Lauren Swertfager were all in a GMC Terrain, stopped at a red light facing southbound on Garland Rd. when an allegedly drunk driver in a Honda Accord rear-ended the GMC Terrain. The collision's impact reportedly sent the GMC into a rollover.
Matthew Walker, Trent Walker, Tracy Walker, & Lauren Swertfager, and the Honda Accord driver were transported to a local hospital. Tracy Walker and Lauren Swertfager reportedly suffered serious, incapacitating injuries. Matthew Walker and Trent Walker reportedly suffered minor injuries, and the alleged drunk driver was reportedly in critical condition.
The speed limit for Garland Rd. is 40 mph, and the roadway was reported as well-lit.
Police officers recommended charging the driver with Intoxication Assault with Serious Bodily Injury.
