Mauricia Cruz-Rodriguez, Blanca Mauricia Zamarano Killed in Car Accident in Los Fresnos, TX
Los Fresnos, TX — September 26, 2023, Mauricia Cruz-Rodriguez and Blanca Mauricia Zamarano were killed in a car crash at FM 803 and FM 510 in Los Fresnos, TX.
Authorities indicate that on September 26, a fatal accident occurred when a Toyota and a Dodge Ram collided in Los Fresnos. Police say the Toyota was heading east along Farm-to-Market Road 510 when it came to the intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 803. According to reports, the Dodge Ram approached the intersection from FM 803, proceeded through the four-way stop, and collided with the Toyota and a Hyundai.
Officials confirmed two women, Mauricia Cruz-Rodriguez, 97, and Blanca Mauricia Zamarano, 62, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities believe that speed was a factor in the collision, but this has not been confirmed at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
