Mauricio Perez Injured in Hit-and-Run Car Accident on Atascosita Rd. in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — February 16, 2024, Mauricio Perez was injured in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 8:00 a.m. along Atascocita Road.
According to authorities, 25-year-old Mauricio Perez was at a stop in an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta behind another vehicle which was waiting for westbound traffic to clear in order to make a safe left turn into a parking lot in the vicinity east of Ygnacio Road when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, an eastbound Ford F-150 neglected to stop for the halted vehicles, striking the rear-end of the Jetta as a result. The Ford reportedly failed to remain at the scene. Perez incurred suspected severe injuries due to the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
