El Paso, TX — November 5, 2023, Michael Harris was fatally injured due to a single-vehicle car accident at around 3:45 a.m. on I-10.
Details about the crash from authorities say it happened along I-10 West in the area of Executive Center Boulevard.
According to officials, 69-year-old Michael Harris was in a Ford F-150 traveling along the interstate. For reasons not currently clear, the vehicle lost control and crashed along the center barrier. This led to the crash overturning.
Harris was taken to a hospital in serious condition. It appears he succumbed to his injuries on November 16. There were no other reported injuries, and authorities have yet to release additional details about the crash.

A single-vehicle wreck early in the morning can lead people to jump to all kinds of conclusions. But common or not, there are countless factors that can lead to a wreck like this which investigators need to consider. Mechanical issues, tire blowouts, alcohol, medical conditions, road hazards—if authorities aren’t looking into these possibilities, there’s a concerning possibility they’ll let something crucial slip through the cracks.
