Michael Peterson Jr. Killed in Truck Accident in Adams County, PA
Adams County, PA — October 19, 2023, Michael Peterson Jr. was killed as a result of a truck accident at about 3:30 p.m. along Hanover Road.
According to reports, Michael Peterson Jr. was in a white sedan driving along the 4400 block of Hanover Road just west of McSherrystown.

For unknown reasons, the sedan collided with the rear axles of the trailer of a UPS semi-truck, resulting in Michael Peterson Jr. being entrapped in the vehicle. Rescue workers used specialized machinery to extract Peterson from his sedan once they arrived on the scene. A medical helicopter was also called to the scene, but Peterson ended up being transported to a local hospital via ground transport.
Peterson later succumbed to the injuries he sustained during the accident, having been pronounced dead at the hospital where he had been taken for treatment following the accident. No other injuries have been reported. The incident is still under investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
