Mineral Wells Man, 1 Injured in Truck Accident on I-20 in Ector County, TX
Ector County, TX — July 26, 2023, a Mineral Wells man and another driver were injured after a truck accident at 2:35 p.m. along Interstate 20.
Authorities said in their statements that the incident took place near mile marker 97 along eastbound lanes of the interstate.

On the eastbound lanes of I-20, authorities say that a 59-year-old Mineral Wells man was in what authorities called a "Special Mobilized Truck" which was traveling at around 45 MPH in the far right lane of travel. Several vehicles were behind this truck. One of those vehicles, a Kenworth truck, reportedly failed to control speed and hit a Chevy Silverado hauling a trailer. That vehicle hit the Mineral Wells man's truck, causing it to go off-road and overturn.
As a result of the collisions, the Mineral Wells man and the driver of the Kenworth both had incapacitating injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. Authorities have not released any additional details.
