Minor & Hector Villanueva Ramirez Injured in Car Accident in Hidalgo County, TX
Hidalgo County, TX — February 28, 2023, Hector Villanueva Ramirez and a 15-year-old were injured in a car accident around 9:30 p.m. on Minnesota Rd. in Hidalgo County.
Authorities report a 15-year-old driver in a Dodge Caravan was westbound while a Ford F-250 that Hector Villanueva Ramirez was a passenger in was eastbound on Minnesota Rd. The vehicles collided when the Ford F-250 allegedly failed to yield the right of way and attempted a left turn in front of the minor's Caravan.
Authorities report the 15-year-old suffered serious injuries, Hector Villanueva Ramirez suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the F-20 was uninjured.
Police recommend charging the F-250 driver with Driving While Intoxicated as the driver reportedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.121.
