Dallas, TX — May 6, 2024, Mkyl Bordes and Sheri Rene were injured following a car accident at around 12:40 a.m. along the LBJ Freeway.
Investigators said that the accident happened in the area of Plano Road on eastbound lanes of I-635.
According to officials, 27-year-old Mkyl Bordes was in a BMW going eastbound on LBJ. Somehow, a collision occurred between the BMW and a Nissan Rogue. They then collided with a Kia Sportage.
Due to the crash, Mkyl Bordes was seriously injured. 54-year-old Sheri Rene was a passenger in the Kia and had moderate injuries.

In a multi-vehicle collision like this, the early reports aren’t likely to tell the whole story. There’s a lot of evidence to sort through, and that takes time, special equipment, and experience.
The question is if authorities ever took those steps. Sometimes, a peek behind the curtain will show authorities did a good job and got the victims and families clear answers. Other times, it may show police barely ever dug up more than they did on day one. That’s when a secondary investigation might reveal new details.
