3 Injured in Multi-Truck Accident on Highway 6 in Clay County, NE
Clay County, NE — September 16, 2025, three people were injured following a multi-truck accident that happened around 11:35 a.m. along US Highway 6.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of US 6 and Road A east of Hastings near the Adams County line.

Investigators said that a semi-truck was going eastbound along the highway at the time. Another semi reportedly made a turn to go southbound, crossing paths and colliding with the eastbound semi. As a result, those trucks then hit a garbage truck which was waiting at the intersection.
Authorities say that all three drivers were taken to a hospital after the crash. There did not appear to be serious injuries. Additional details are unavailable.

As straight-forward as things may seem here, commercial vehicle accidents always bring on a whole set of unusual factors to consider.
One I've often seen, for example, is drivers thinking their employer has their back. Some employers really do care about their drivers, but far too many only care about avoiding responsibility. When it comes to drivers getting the help they need, they're often left on their own.
That's why it's important accidents like this get thorough investigations so the truckers involved can have as much information as possible helping them get back on their feet. I doubt this accident would somehow prove to be the exception.
