One Killed, One Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident in Chester County, SC
Chester County, SC — October 6, 2023, a person was killed, and one was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 77 near mile marker 52 in Chester County, SC.
Authorities indicate that on October 6, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle crashed in Chester County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 12:30 a.m.
Investigators say a Dodge Durango was traveling along Interstate 77 when it suddenly veered off the road. Police stated that the Dodge attempted to correct its course and overturned near mile marker 52.
Officials confirmed that the SUV driver, whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries. One other person reportedly sustained injuries in the crash. The extent of the person's injuries is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
