Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With any serious accident, it's important to ask key questions early on. Is the crash being treated as a high priority? Did authorities preserve electronic evidence? Were there any nearby cameras that captured the incident on video? What were road conditions like? Are the vehicles being inspected for potential defects? Is this a stretch of road with a history of accidents? Whether a given factor seems likely or not, it's important to let the facts speak for themselves. Simply rushing to assign blame isn't going to do any good. It's best that investigations focus on the evidence first and make sure the whole story is told fairly.
