Otavius Demond Rose Killed in Pedestrian Car Accident in Terrell, TX
UPDATE (April 5, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify a few details of what occurred during this accident. 24-year-old Otavius Demond Rose was reportedly on foot in the inside lane of eastbound I.H. 20. An eastbound Ram 2500 pickup truck traveling in the same lane reportedly attempted to avoid striking Rose by swerving to the left, but was unsuccessful. The pickup struck Rose then proceeded to drive left over the left shoulder and crash into a cable barrier separating the east and westbound lanes of the interstate. The investigation continues.
Terrell, TX — March 17, 2024, Otavius Demond Rose was killed in a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 12:40 a.m. along Interstate Highway 20.
Authorities apparently received multiple calls reporting a man standing in the westbound lanes of I.H. 20 in Terrell. Police had not yet arrived in the reported areas before a final call came in from a driver who had purportedly struck the pedestrian.

Officials indicate that the pedestrian who had been struck was identified to be 24-year-old Otavius Demond Rose. He had incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
